This year’s awards theme, “Design for Better,” highlights the role of design in building a more balanced and sustainable world. Unios’ dual recognition marks a proud moment in the team’s ongoing commitment to thoughtful, high-impact design.

The Pandia’s Gold Award reflects its excellence in both form and function, while the ION S Series continues the brand’s momentum in highly modular designs, joining the ION R Series, which was a Good Design Award winner in 2022.

As an Australian collaboration with Chris Connell, the [Pandia Glass Collection’s](https://good-design.org/projects/pandia-glass-collection/) ethos is grounded in the idea of bringing the warmth and comfort of the harvest moon to hospitality spaces. The design team perfectly achieve this ethos through a creative play of material and proportions, creating a light with unique characteristics in form and finish. 

The [Good Design Awards](https://good-design.org/) Jury acknowledges: “_The Pandia is an understated glass light collection for hospitality spaces. Pandia Glass delivers a refined, minimal design with thoughtful detailing and effective light diffusion, resulting in a high-quality, uniform glow.
Its balance of simplicity and distinctiveness positions it as a strong example of a well-balanced design. Elegant and thoughtfully considered, the design’s innovative use of geometry to achieve pleasant lighting and diffusion is very effective.
The light is hidden in simple external forms that will complement any interior space. Use of durable and reliable materials and tooled parts across a range of lighting typologies is a good way of maximising impact. A standout example of design excellence._”

Joining the award-winning ION R Series, the ION S Series continues Unios’ momentum in modular product design. The [ION S](https://good-design.org/projects/ion-s-series/) is celebrated for its precision, modularity, and refined form, offering a versatile lighting solution that can be tailored across a wide range of architectural applications.

The Good Design Awards Jury commented: "_The ION S reimagines track lighting through modularity, aesthetic refinement, and technical precision. This is a well-executed, highly configurable design with strong attention to detail and effective modularity. Its thoughtful construction and flexibility make it a solid example of functional and user-focused design. A standout example of good design in the Furniture and Lighting category._”

It's truly an honour to be recognised for not just one, but two awards at this year's Good Design Awards. It’s a moment of celebration for Unios, but it also sets the standard for the team as we continuously work towards creating solutions that are well-considered in form, function, and its societal impact.
