## An architectural structure inspired by Sydney's harbour coastline
Designed by renowned architecture and interior design firm [Bates Smart](https://www.batessmart.com/), the [Corrs Chambers Westgarth](https://www.corrs.com.au/) Sydney office draws inspiration from the organic forms of Sydney's harbour coastline, creating an interior that prioritises productivity and wellbeing.

A particularly notable feature is the double-height entry space, where a stunning glass artwork by [Yhonnie Scarce](https://www.google.com/search?q=Yhonnie+Scarce&oq=Yhonnie+Scarce&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBBzE3M2owajSoAgCwAgA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8), suspended from the ceiling, adds a sense of grandeur to the workplace.

The floor plans take full advantage of [QQT](https://www.quayquartersydney.com.au/quay-quarter-tower/)'s existing column grid and expansive scale, allowing for flexible office configurations that cater to different needs. Throughout the space, there is an intentional use of natural materials, creating a muted, restrained palette enhanced by tactility and reflectivity, adding depth and richness to a timeless interior.

## A lighting strategy designed for people
Through [Electrolight](https://electrolight.com/)'s vision, artificial and natural lighting become crucial in allowing every space to feel connected, and that the architectural structure and interior palette is celebrated. 

Glass is used generously at all four levels, letting natural light flow throughout the tenancy and offering sweeping views of Sydney Harbour. By considering circadian rhythms in the design, the design evolves throughout the day to support a natural and open atmosphere that benefits those who work within the space.

A key feature of the lighting design is the use of indirect lighting to accentuate the architectural details. The [**Eclipse G2 Linear Series**](https://unios.com/products/eclipse-g2-glide-linear-series), subtly integrated into vertical surfaces, gently highlights the texture of timber finishes, enhancing the interplay between straight lines and soft curves in the interior architecture.

Corrs Chambers Westgarth at QQT exemplifies how architecture, design, and lighting can converge to create an inspiring environment. The project, recipient of the [New South Wales Architecture Awards Accolades](https://www.architecture.com.au/archives/awards/corrs-chambers-westgarth-bates-smart), sets a new standard for A-grade office spaces.
