Inspired by Vietnam's rice culture, the interior design of Grand Mercure Hanoi pays homage to the country's villages and people. Elements reminiscent of rice fields and terraces are incorporated into the hotel's walls, ceilings, and tapestries. At night, the building façade becomes a captivating visual highlight in the Hanoi cityscape, with a geometric pattern created with the Emerald Spike Spotlight.
The architecture draws influence from the Temple of Literature, featuring intricate woodwork, colourful tiles, and symbolic motifs. Splashes of red and yellow, Vietnam's auspicious colours representing prosperity and affluence, accentuate the hotel's design. The lobby boasts ostentatious golden features, from the curved staircase to the reception wall patterns. Following along the curvatures, the Aeon Flex highlights the material and structure of the interior characteristics.
Grand Mercure Hanoi immerses guests in authentic Vietnamese culture through exquisite dining experiences. In the restaurant spaces, the FX Spotlights are cleverly integrated into the metal ceiling structure, offering a comfortable and focused light source that accentuates table surfaces. The harmonious interplay between the lighting and the dark wood interior creates an intimate atmosphere and a perfect dining experience. At the same time, diners are welcome to enjoy the views of Hanoi city.
The lighting design throughout the hotel, from the lobby to the suites, focuses on comfort and luxury with the Particle Downlights, striking a balance between well-suited illumination and a serene and enigmatic vibe. The Particle provides ample yet subtle lighting, minimising glare and keeping the hotel's solace. With a visionary approach to comfort, Grand Mercure makes the perfect home away from home for visitors to Hanoi.
