### A community-driven design by John Wardle Architects and 1+2 Architecture

Spearheaded by John Wardle Architects in collaboration with 1+2 Architecture, Inveresk Library embodies the community's visions and values in every part of its build.

Consisting of three levels, Inveresk Library houses an array of amentities, including study spaces, collections, meeting rooms, and more. Situated between the Annexe Theatre and the School of Creative Arts, its sawtooth roof lines and industrial materials establish a playful and engaging dialogue with the existing Launceston landmarks. As the result of a feedback-focused design process, including the integration of indigenous experiences and knowledge, this new addition to the campus presents itself as a distinct and welcoming space, complete with customised features such as carpets, joinery, and display systems.



### Enhancing visual support and focus with Unios luminaires

Purposefully designed to foster creativity and knowledge, the Inveresk Library embraces a sense of discovery and utilises lighting to enhance its ambience. 

The lighting design complements the architecture, particularly the interior view of the sawtooth roof lines, as surface-mounted linear profiles and track fixtures traverse the length of the beam. In addition, wall-mounted track spotlights accentuate bookcases and provide visual support throughout the area. Simultaneously, strip linear installations hidden inside the staircase aid wayfinding while adding to the library's aesthetic appeal. In workspaces, suspended LX Infinity fixtures illuminate desk surfaces, minimising glare and prodviding ample brightness for focused tasks.
